Kearney Early Education Center Students Learn Fire Safety From Local Firefighters

Our youngest Bulldogs enjoyed a special visit from members of the Kearney Fire & Rescue Protection District this afternoon!

Firefighters stopped by Kearney Early Education Center to teach students about fire safety and other important safety practices, including how to "stop, drop and roll."

Students also got an up-close look at the protective gear firefighters wear while responding to emergencies. The firefighters demonstrated how they put on their equipment, helping students become familiar with what firefighters look and sound like when they're fully geared up.

The excitement continued outside, where students had the opportunity to explore a fire truck and an emergency medical vehicle.

A big thank-you to the Kearney Fire & Rescue Protection District for taking the time to share these important lessons with our students! We're grateful for the dedication of our local first responders and their continued partnership in keeping our students and community safe.
