Bulldogs Build Momentum to State Football Championship

Cheerleaders in purple and black uniforms perform a routine, pom-poms raised.Kearney High School students and staff members gave their Varsity Football team a great send-off during a state championship pregame rally at the end of the class day this afternoon, Dec. 5! The all-school assembly featured performances by the KHS Cheer Squad and Golden Girls, a recognition of the team and a mock battle between Bruiser the Bulldog and the Hannibal High School Pirates. Head Coach Logan Minnick delivered some rousing words, the three classes held a cheer-off contest and then everyone participated in a final rousing rendition of the school fight song. KHS faces Hannibal in the state Class 4 final match-up starting at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 6, at Missouri Western in St. Joseph.
